Featuring deep purple amethyst and howlite beads, this mala holds the the most soothing energy. Both of these gemstones are known to hold qualities that aid in calming the mind and body in times of need. This mala was also hand crafted using a very unique and rare Tibetan bead at the bottom above the tassel. This spot holds high significance and is known to most as the Guru bead.
Mala beads have been held highly sacred in many traditions and cultures around the world, but originated from being known as Buddhist prayer beads. Each mala is gently hand crafted with sacred number of 108 beads (plus an additional "Guru" bead) used for devotional meditation, mantra and/or prayer. With each bead a mantra or prayer is repeated to meet a total of 108. This number has much significance, and also interpretation. Each of which, represents love and unity.
